Holiday 2024 House Tour: A Modern Transitional Home
There’s nothing I love more than cozying up our home for the holidays. Each year, I try to layer in festive touches that feel warm and inviting, while still staying true to our modern transitional style. For Holiday 2024, I leaned into natural greenery, warm neutrals, and just the right amount of sparkle to make our home feel festive without feeling overdone.
This season, I wanted our home to feel calm, cozy, and timeless—the kind of space where you can curl up with a mug of hot cocoa, but also host friends and family for a holiday dinner. Fresh garlands and simple velvet ribbons bring that organic, understated beauty I love. A mix of brass bells, candles, and framed ornaments add just enough shine to make everything feel special.
Our tree is always the centerpiece, and this year it’s dressed in soft whites, frames, and velvet ornaments for a collected look that still feels classic. I added a few bows for texture and depth, which instantly made the tree feel more layered and cozy.
Throughout the house, I scattered candles in varying heights and warm, natural accents like pinecones, citrus, and woven textures. These little details add so much character, and they make the home smell amazing too. The whole look feels festive and layered, but still simple enough that it works with our everyday decor.
One of my favorite things about holiday decorating is finding ways to make it feel effortless. By keeping the base of our decor neutral and adding greenery, cozy textures, and a few nostalgic touches, our home feels perfectly seasonal while staying true to our style.
Holiday decorating doesn’t have to be complicated—it’s about creating a space that feels warm, lived-in, and welcoming during one of the busiest seasons of the year. And this year, that’s exactly how our home feels: bright, cozy, and full of quiet holiday magic.
